1. Optophobia

The fear of opening one’s eyes. (That feeling when your debit orders go off and you check your balance.)

2. Chorophobia

The fear of dancing. (We kind of get this one… most people are awful dancers lol.)

3. Geliophobia

Fear of laughter. (When someone falls in public and you try to hold it in?)

4. Arachibutyrophobia

The fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth. (My sister does this when she secretly wants a peanut butter smoothie. Quite smart actually…)

5. Heliphobia

Fear of sunlight. (Really just an excuse to not see people. I’m guilty here 😬)

6. Deipnophobia

Fear of dinner conversations. (Especially the first dinner with your girlfriend’s parents. Whew!)

7. Neophobia

Fear of new things. (You want the iPhone for your birthday but your mom is probably getting you a poster of Nicolas Cage:)

8. Syngenesophobia

Fear of relatives. (Can’t say anything about this one, because they might be reading this…)

9. Ablutophobia

Fear of washing and bathing (We’ve all been sunburnt….)

10. Geniophobia
