Wonder Woman 1984
Wonder Woman and DC fans alike have had to wait for the sequel to the thoroughly enjoyable 2017 Wonder Woman due to the release being delayed inevitably by COVID-19.
Following events of the first film, Diana (Gal Gadot) finds herself feeling lonely, while being focused mainly on her career. She is evidently yet to move on from the loss of her romantic interest, Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) as she observes other couples dining out while Diana is seated without company.
This changes when a new colleague is appointed and a friendship begins to form between her and Diana. In what follows are world-altering events and a global crisis that can only be restored by a miracle.
Our verdict:
Wonder Woman 1984 lacks in areas where the sequel excelled at. It can feel like a grind to watch. There are however two villains, an unexpected reunion and a new Wonder Woman movie to watch for die hard fans of the super heroine.
